I have read this book from cover to cover. I am astounded at the number of errors in this book. I even found paragraphs that were repeated on the same page. I was under the impression based on the giant circle on the front cover that this book also included online practices tests. Apparently, that is another $26. I guess I should have focused on the description of the book instead of assuming the front cover was factual. The content of the book was good and I am hoping that it gives me an edge so I can pass this $200 test.

I passed the exam on my first try thanks to this book. The sections were organized and informative without having too much unnecessary information. The two practice tests were what really did it for me, they closely resembled what the actual test looked like.

I used this book to study and passed. I ended up having to pull from other sources as well, such as quizlet and another book for sell online that has its practice test posted with the answer key and rationales. No questions on laws were on my exam, but not sure if that's customary. All the questions are situational, so whatever is the LRE or the best for the student is usually the correct answer. Overall, this was a good purchase. The online test are exceptional, as you an retake them.

I only used this book and studied it cover to cover for a week. The study guide was easy to read and I loved the end of chapter quizzes and online tests. The ESE state test was similar in structure, but much more detailed. There is a lot of terminology and laws not covered in this study guide. If you have never taught or been to college to be a teacher, this test would have been difficult, but still passable. Having said this, I passed the state ESE test 1st time.

I used this study guide as my only resource for the FTCE ESE K-12 exam. I passed the first time and this study guide did a great job in helping me review for the exam. It is very well structured and easy to read. In my opinion the best way to study using this guide is by breaking it up by "skills" and use the practice tests as quizzes to review each skill. Each chapter has its own quiz as well but this helps cover the material more deeply. The skills are broken up into which questions they focus on so its a pretty structured and effective method to test what you have learned. Highly recommend this book for anyone studying to take the FTCE ESE K-12 exam.

I decided to buy this book because the one I already had was not good. The only good thing about this book is that the informations by chapters and there are assessments after each chapter. But, the practice tests in the back are ridiculous. First of all the questions were off, the information was never provided by the book ( I thought I was going crazy because I did not remember the material) when I went back to check and re-read, IT WAS NOT THERE!!! for example, PRACTICE TEST 1: QUESTION 8: Maria has a daughter who has developmental delays and has completed the Early Steps program. What type of paperwork is completed after the transition conference?....answer: transition plan (form I of the IFSP). The book says that this is taught in Competency 1/skill 5.... when you go to competency 1/skill 5 THERE IS NOTHING THERE TALKING ABOUT EARLY STEPS PROGRAMS OR A TRANSITION PLAN FOR IFSP?????? This is not the only questions that this has happened. I want to make it clear that I read this book throughout!!!! the information is nowhere.

This book is very detailed. I passed my test in the FIRST go round!! However, DO NOT USE THIS BOIK AS YOUR ONLY MEANS OF STUDYING!! It had little to no state statues included!!!

First I read the chapters, and then took the first exam in the book. Went back over the reading for the questions that I got wrong, and then did the same with the second exam in the book. The online tests are identical to the ones in the book, but I still took them right before the exam. Passed the real exam on the first try, all thanks to this book.

It’s hard to make an assessment of this book. On its face, it seems to be a historical study of the place of Anaximander in the development of modern science. And, for the first half of the book, it really is that. But from there, Rovelli takes off into a much more loosely bound discussion of truth, reality, relativism, religion, language, and the fate of the world.I’ll start with Anaximander. It’s a cliche that history is told by the winners. But if science is a “winner”, then Rovelli is telling the winner’s history of science. His claim, at the highest level, is that Anaximander produced the first “scientific revolution”, the beginnings of science itself. What Anaximander does is remarkable. But I’m not convinced by Rovelli that Anaximander’s thought traces the beginning of a solid line toward modern science. Here are some key aspects Rovelli calls out in Anaximander’s thought as a progenitor of science:- that the world may be different than it appears to us- knowledge as a progression of dialogue and debate based on questioning what has previously been thought- a new model of the shape and position of earth (not flat, resting on a foundation of some sort, but a cylinder freely floating in the universe)Certainly, in the terms of Anaximander’s thinking, and in the absence of any explicitly mythological elements, there is a strain that we could call “naturalistic.”But I think he’s actually more interesting and puzzling than that. In what we have of Anaximander’s actual writings, there are two concepts that seem difficult, in our own time and terms, to reconcile. One concerns change and multiplicity — that “all things originate from one another, and vanish into one another.” Anaximander is traditionally interpreted in naturalistic terms, although his claim is not unambiguously naturalistic, at least not in modern terms. What he means by “originate” could as well be given a logical or purely conceptual interpretation as a naturalistic one. And in fact, the cosmologies of ancient Greece commonly told of such things as order and difference as developing from prior unities or chaos. The second concept is the “apeiron” as the origin or principle (“arche”) of all things. “Apeiron” is sometimes translated as “the infinite” or “the indefinite” or “the undifferentiated.” I think it a stretch to give an unambiguously naturalistic interpretation of “apeiron”. In a naturalistic interpretation, you could read it as a truly empirical “thing” — an undifferentiated substance out of which all the multiplicity of things we are familiar with originates. Or you could see it as a logical concept, as the origin of multiplicity in undifferentiated unity. In fact, I think the distinction between a naturalistic interpretation and a logical one is something we lay over Anaxminder’s thought — it simply wasn’t a mature distinction at the time.Correspondingly, what comes after Anaximander is neither pure naturalistic science nor pure rationalism. The themes that Rovelli pulls from Anaximander’s thought and times are important for the future history of knowledge, but in various guises besides anything we would call “science” in a modern sense. For example, Parmenides, certainly not a “scientist”, explicitly separated the world as it appears to us (the world of “seeming”) from the world as it really is (the world of “truth”). Aristotle refined a method of presenting the thoughts of earlier philosophers as a basis for his own arguments and positions, providing an explicit structure for progress in thought, but not a method of science per se.Likewise, Plato’s rationalist dialectic has roots in dialogue and debate of a conceptual sort, and is embedded in his idealist metaphysic of “forms”, at best a distant kin to modern science. All of this is criticism of Rovelli’s history based on a popular conception of what is meant by “science”. And were Rovelli an adherent of that popular conception, one that revolves around strict adherence to observation, hypothesis, experiment, and “method”, then he would be a scientistic teller of fables about the emergence of science from the darkness of superstition and myth. But he wants to construct a different understanding of what science is, one he refers to at one point as “science as a cognitive activity” (p. 111). He gives at least one explicit definition:[Science] means building and developing an image of the world, which is to say a conceptual structure for thinking about the world, effective and consistent with what we know and learn about the world itself. There’s a lot packed into that sentence. He says also, “It [i.e., science] is, above all, an ongoing exploration of new ways of thinking.”Rovelli is doing at least two things at once in this part of the book. He is telling a story about the history of science, finding its origins in Anaximander’s thought (or more broadly, that of the Milesian philosophers), but he is also, in doing so, recommending that we think a little bit differently about what science is, that we crack away some of the rigid, technical structures we’ve built around the enterprise of science and get back to something that may have been more fitting to Anaximander’s time, a less tightly bound search for the terms in which to understand the world. In doing so, he steps into the territory of modern philosophy of science. In his chapter on “What is Science?” he attempts to find his footing within that debate, with Kuhn, Feyerabend, Lakatos, and others. The discussion is very short, and his criticisms of those thinkers abrupt and controversial. But in a way, that doesn’t matter — it’s not the point of this part of the book. The point, I think, is to, with the help of Anaximander’s thought, turn our understanding of science in a more conceptual direction — into an explicit focus not only on facts and observation per se, but on the terms in which we think about and organize the facts and observations of science. Rovelli thinks that, in fact, this is what great scientists do.The second (roughly) half of the book takes off into a broad discussion coming to rest eventually in a discussion of science and religion. While Rovelli is not so strident a proponent of science over religion as some of his contemporaries, you will find familiar themes here — in particular an attack on “absolutism” as a defining characteristic of religion.Discussions of religion vs. science tend to be one-sided, and Rovelli’s is no exception. I found particularly presumptuous this characterization of science as acceptance of uncertainty and religion as assertion of absolutism. In practice, the difference doesn’t seem so stark. Scientists often assert absolute postitions. Sometimes it’s the truth of theories, and other times, equally forceful, the absolutism of method. And religion is often a dynamic of faith and doubt, and sometimes acceptance of mystery. Broad strokes don’t do either side justice. All in all, Rovelli has made me think more deeply about Anaximander, and about what “knowing” really is, in the time of the pre-Socratics. Maybe fittingly, I don’t find his account to be “true”, but enlightening.

Anyone, who has read "The Dream of Reason" by Anthony Gottlieb, stands in awe of the ancient Greek philosophers from the Milesians through Aristotle. These men thought and wrote in an era without microscopes, without telescopes, without a fundamental grasp of scientific concepts and without even a functional number-system. How could they have pondered such rational thoughts and proposed such prescient answers? Carlo Rovelli discusses the impact of the Milesians, in general, and Anaximander, in particular, upon what was to become post-Renaissance, modern science. Rovelli sees Greek Philosophy as the bridge between primitive superstition and modern scientific thought. He presents the reader with an engaging and eminently readable study of the birth of scientific thought, when man first abandoned religious superstition in favor of a human reason unencumbered by his fear of gods or God.I have one small criticism of Rovelli's work. At times, it borders on a polemic against religion itself. Not all religions are primitive or fundamentalist. There is room in the mind of man and in the universe itself for both science and God. Carlo, stick to science and philosophy. You know them well and have much to offer the curious reader. Leave God and religion to an individual's faith.

The education of modern scientists skips lightly, if at all, over the ancient classics - much to our loss. In this profound book on the history and philosophy of science, Rovelli bridges the brief 2,600 year gap between modern theoretical physics and pre-Socratic philosophers from the sixth century BCE. For a generation raised on Thomas Kuhn's "Structure of Scientific Revolutions", Rovelli provides a much different take. For example, by comparing the writings of Ptolomy and Copernicus, Rovelli shows that scientific progress is much more about evolution than revolution. Rather than a series of paradigm shifts based on newly discovered data, scientific progress is more about taking radically new perspectives on the same phenomena. This is a very enjoyable and thought-provoking book.

What is one of the leading theorists of loop quantum gravity doing in the classical world? Well, on the basis of an education I envy him, he's showing us that the Platonic theory of science we virtually assume to be the dominant theory of the classical age has to share space in our understanding with what you might call a theory of scientific practice -- embodied in Anaximander. His story of the Anaximander strand in the classical world is beautifully told. (I'm not equipped to evaluate it authoritatively.) But the pay-off is that the table is set for a re-evaluation of the scientific practice of the current scene in novel terms. Alimento squisito for those with open minds about matters cosmological.

The print quality of the illustrations is dreadful. This is very bad, because to understand spectra and illustrations one has to actually see them. I suppose they do this to avoid copying of the kindle book, so on one hand I can understand that, but on the other it makes the kindle book useless. I rented this after seeing the hardcopy, clearly the kindle book is nowhere near as clear as the original.I recommend to buy the hardcopy or get another book, the kindle book is not worth the high price. The book it self would be excellent.

Book is in good condition as promised. However, I really hate the lack of organisation and clarity in it. It's like all experiments and techniques are jumbled up. Very annoying to follow and create my lab notebook from.

Good item. Arrived on time without damage.

Makes lab more confusing than it should be. The procedures are long and confusing when in reality the actual experiment is so simple. Only have it cause prof requires it.

The best organic lab technique textbook around. Microscale is the way to go :-)

Well written, would recommend renting

yep

This book was required for my chemistry course. It was great at explaining laboratory procedures. Very helpful.

This book does not set out to be an in depth study of the Nine Old Men. It is published as a companion to an exhibition of their work. That being said, the book does contain Disney art I had not seen before as well as original art from their private collections. I consider it a worthy addition to my extensive collection.

As an animator I've collected hundreds of animation books over 30 years. At $22 this book was a must for my library. It's interesting to read about Disney's nine old men and see their personal work outside of the studio. My only regret with retrospective works like this is when the artwork is reduced in size and you don't get to appreciate the line work at full size. I guess we just get spoiled by books like "Animation (Walt Disney Animation Studios: The Archive Series)" or Pierre Lambert's books.I prefer Andreas Deja's book on the same subject to this book. Deja's book is titled "The Nine Old Men: Lessons, Techniques, and Inspiration from Disney's Great Animators".

Not much information in this book if you were hoping for knowledge or history, mostly contains drawings done by these “nine old men” throughout their career. Not the best book, and if was able to peek inside before buying wouldn’t have purchased myself honestly.

Once the reader gets past the introductions, this book is virtually text free. If you are looking for more than pictures and sketches, and were hoping for "an exclusive look at the animators’ lives", I would give this book a pass. Walt Disney's Nine Old Men: Masters of Animation didn't earn a spot in my extensive collection.

Like a lot of people, I first became aware of Lone Wolf and Cub by watching Shogun Assassin. I was working in a movie store, and a regular customer would talk about martial arts and samurai movies with me regularly, and one day, he came in to lend me his copy of Shogun Assassin. I’d never seen anything like it before, and fell in love with the character of Ogami Itto, who may very well be the original one-man army character. I looked up as much info as I could about it, and found out that it was actually an edited version of portions of a series called Lone Wolf and Cub, which was based on a very long comic series. I set out to read the comics in no time, and quickly became addicted. About 10 years has passed since I finished the series, and now that these huge collections have been released, I’m going though it again to see how it holds up. I’m happy to say that this comic, which started all the way back in 1970(!) very much holds up, and a lot of comic artists and writers could learn a thing or two by reading just one story in any of these volumes.Ogami Itto was the shogun’s executioner, and has chose to live the path of an assassin, offering his sword and son, Daigoro, to anyone willing to pay for his services. Itto has more than enough skill to deal with the most feared foes, armed with his dotanuki sword and expert tactics. He does whatever it takes to get the job done, even if it means appearing weak. One case has him allowing himself to be captured by the enemy, dismantling them from the inside out once he’s in their lair. Another has him entering a prison with some of the toughest criminals out there, getting unceremoniously beaten, then allowing himself to get put on death row after he kills a few of the guys that beat him after he gets the info he needs. The funny thing is, with all these dangerous situations, the guy’s rarely in any serious trouble because he’s just -that- good. This first volume of the Lone Wolf and Cub Omnibus contains 16 chapters in the series, with each chapter showing why Ogami Itto is probably the baddest fictional dude to grace any form of media. As much as I could go on about how awesome the brutal fights are in this series, I think that everyone gets that by now. Fights are over very quickly in Lone Wolf and Cub, making you wonder what happened to manga where many fights are drawn out over the course of several books in some cases, usually just to showcase how powerful characters are, or worse- letting characters “power up” over several chapters. Goseki Kojima does a fantastic job showing how skilled Itto is with any weapon in just a couple of panels, never wasting a single space with unnecessary flash. Kazoo Koike’s writing is top-notch, and there is some very clever stuff in here. Ogami Itto isn’t a mindless killing machine- he has reasons for doing things the way he does them, and the majority of what he does in this volume is all planned out in advance. There were a lot of times I found myself smiling because of how tricky something was.To be completely honest, I loved every single chapter here except for one which felt like a short filler episode. But even that one wasn’t bad by any means. It just wasn’t anywhere near as good as the others. Some of my favorite were:-Chapter 5: Suio School Zanbato. Ogami Itto has a duel with a high ranking samurai, even getting a written note from the guy stating that he agreed to the duel. After dispatching him, the samurai’s men seek revenge on Itto, planning to ambush him on horses.-Chapter 8: Wings to the Birds, Fangs to the Beast. Probably one of the more well-known chapters here. Itto and Daigoro head to a hot spring that’s ruled by outlaws at the moment, who’ve taken the nearby village hostage. Itto does a very noble thing to save a prostitute, and deals with the outlaws in a way that only he can. Having a baby cart that’s full of built-in weapons sure helps.-Chapter 9: The Assassin’s Road. This is the one chapter where we learn something about Ogami Itto and Daigoro, going over part of what led them to this path they walk. One of the duo’s most memorable moments comes at the end of the chapter during a duel where Itto bows his head down while dashing at his opponent, revealing Daigoro on his back wearing a mirror on his head to reflect the sunlight at the opponent, blinding him.-Chapter 12: Tragic O-Sue. This is basically a Daigoro story. With his dad sick, resting in a small temple somewhere (and having some pretty gnarly nightmares about demons), Daigoro is left to fend for himself after he gets imprisoned by a high ranking samurai’s family. The master of the house wonders if Daigoro is the son of the infamous Lone Wolf and Cub assassin he’s heard so much about.-Chapter 16: Half Mat, One Mat, A Fistful of Rice. Finally, we end the book with the first opponent who actually stands a chance against the assassin. A highly skilled samurai turned sideshow attraction takes the father and son out for a meal after accidentally almost harming Daigoro. He doesn’t like the path that Ogami Itto is on, and wishes for him to stop, for his son’s sake. Itto refuses, for both him and his son have chosen it. As a result, he chooses to stop the former executioner himself in a duel. This leads to a very intense moment where the two stare down each other, and visualize several possibilities of what’s going to happen when they make their moves. And keep in mind those are only 5 of my favorites, and there are at lest 5 others I could go on about! What are you waiting for? This is a crazy-good deal for so much of the story. My only issues are that it would be so much better if the volumes were in hardcover format, because the paper covers do start to wear down quickly due to how much content there is, and I’m still not happy that they reversed everything. Yes, this reads like a standard US/European comic, from left to right, and as a result, all the artwork is reversed too. Dark Horse has a reason for it, and it’s not a very good one. Maybe in another couple of decades they’ll finally put it out as it was originally published? Those minor complaints aside, nothing should keep you from buying this book.

Lone Wolf & Cub Omnibus Volume 1A very nice thick manga from Dark Horse Manga, over 700 pages of pure black and white action, intrigue, and self exploration in this book. This is my first manga, I believe. The closest I ever came to this type of stuff was Scott Pilgrim and SharKnife, the latter being absolutely deplorable. The story revolves around a Ronin out to atone or avenge the death of his wife, carrying his son with him. Why he has his son at all is revealed halfway through the book and is one of the more powerful scenes so I won't go through it now with you.Basically, he's an assassin. He often uses his son and puts him in grave danger to meet his mission, but his reasoning is "Even a Wolf Cub is still a Wolf", seeing as his son is strong and can take care of himself. This is absolutely brilliant and I for sure will be buying volume two in this series. Lots of action, lots of neat problem solving and unique murders and stories to keep you guessing each time. It did end softly with the last two stories but 98% of the book is gold.Definitely check it out, even if you've never read this sort of thing (like myself), you might like it.

The all time best story ever! Everyone must buy it. Everyone should own it. It should be required reading. Kozure Okami. The story of a masterless ronin on the road to hell in a never ending quest for blood and vengeance. The caveat: his toddler child in tow. The endless waves of ninja that assault them, fall victim to his unquenchable blade. The story starts off disjointed, but don't give up. Read them all. It is worth it. At times heart wrenching and others soaked with the lust for blood. Itto Ogami, master of the suio-ryu style of swordplay, has resigned himself and his child to hell. In an effort to avenge the death and destruction of everything he had and loved by the pitiless Yagyu. Which is odd since most Japanese today would probably say the Yagyu, especially Junbei, were looked on in a favorable light. History is different than poetic license, though. Anyhow, extremely good story, don't stop at issue 1.

Koike and Kojima’s Lone Wolf and Cub feels of a different era of manga, and that is largely because it is. First released in 1970s, translated and re-released by Dark Horse Manga in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this Manga gives several of the Lone Wolf and Cub stories. Unlike most later manga, Lone Wolf and Cub is largely episodic, and while details about the backstory are left like bread crumbs, this does not have to be read in order. The violence, while not super graphic by modern adult manga standards, was fairly graphic for the time, and nudity is common, although it is not portrayed in the modern comic--manga or "western"--hyper-sexualized manner. The art is stunning and very naturalistic. It seems to mimic figure work from more traditional Japanese sources and the highly archetypical Edo-period feudal Japan is rendered convincingly, although I am not entirely sure how accurate this is to the real world Edo Japan. The plots do get repetitive although the art does carry me through. Part of the problem is that later Manga and Samurai stories draw a lot from the Koike and Kojima which makes it feel less fresh than it did originally. Kazuo Koike's plots and character though work remarkably well for how compacted his stories often are. While I would suggest lingering with this one instead of binge reading it, it's an excellent early manga.

From Library Journal

James Bond is one of the few characters who has enjoyed a loyal following in print and on the silver screen for over 30 years, a feat rivaled perhaps only by the Star Trek crew. He has endured through several authors and a slew of suave British actors?even James Bond-lite Roger Moore couldn't detract from the super secret agent's popularity. Bond also has the distinction of being one of the few action heroes who with equal vigor has attracted men, who fantasize about being him, and women, who fantasize about being with him. Rubin here offers an A-Z listing of everything you always wanted to know about James Bond films but were afraid to ask. Beyond merely stating the facts, he also punctuates the listings with his own commentary on characters, actors, bits of trivia, etc. The text is further buttressed with hundreds of black-and-white stills. In sum, this is a rich resource for all Bond fans who will be both shaken and stirred by the multitude of factoids and photos. Recommended.?Michael Rogers, "Library Journal"Copyright 1995 Reed Business Information, Inc.

What can I say... If you are into 007 you must have this book. Alphabetical listing of all kinds of James Bond trivia, plus a lot of photos. A new addendum has info on the first Brosnan 007 film. An updated edition would be nice.I still think Moore is the best Bond of them all. The classic British gentleman...

My main beef with this encyclopedia is the ratings that Rubin gives the movies. I COMPLETELY disagree with him on how he rated each film. His rationale is also inconsistent to put it mildly. A few of my issues with his ratings include: "License to Kill" only got 2.5 stars. Give me a break! Dalton was incredible in that movie! It was bold, took Bond on a different road---revenge! He went rogue, plenty of plot twists, Robert Davi was superb, and it was intense. That movie deserved 3.5 stars bare minimum! He gives "the Man with the Golden Gun" one star. Come on! It wasn't one of the best films by far, but it wasn't THAT bad! He pokes fun at Roger Moore's Bond and gives most of Moore's films super low scores. He blasts them for not being very serious, that there are too many goofy gadgets and silly moments....AND YET Rubin lauds the "Spy Who Loved Me" as this masterpiece? Spy Who Loved Me had Bond in a Lotus Esprit that turns into a submarine, Bond coming out of the ocean in the car onto a beach dumping a fish out of his car, the plot was basically a rehash of You Only Live Twice only under water, Jaws survives having an Egyptian temple falling on him, falls off a cliff into a house and lives, and defeats a Great White Shark, and Bond is as goofy as ever in that movie and yet Rubin acts like this is Moore's magnum opus? He also really rips into a film I think is pure garbage---"Never Say Never Again." He rips it, AND YET he gives is a high rating? Why? Just because Sean Connery was in it....sigh. The book is fairly informative, but ignore his ratings.

The James Bond Encyclopedia is what it claimed to be, an Encyclopedia of the James Bond films, which featured entries from Dr. No all the way to Licence to Kill, as well as Casino Royale (both the original and the spoof) and Never Say Never Again. A later edition included a preview chapter on GoldenEye.As fascinating as reading the entries, some get a little bit repetitive. For instance, when you look up a characer's entry, and then to the entry of the actor who played him, you pretty much get the same info. Rarely do you get some background info on the actor in question. And Steven Jay Rubin wasted no time trashing three of Roger Moore's movies. Especially A View To A KIll.So Christopher Walken's Zorin is bland and stupid. Okay, so back it up with some facts. Grace Jones was said to be too androgynous for mainstream audiences. Perhaps his idea of mainstream is back in the 1960s, which he is seem to be stuck in.He also said that no one care about the plot because no one care about Silicon Valley, and the film dosesn't explain why Zorin's monopoly on micochips will be so dangerous to the free world. Hello? Are we watching the same movie? As Stacey said, "He'll kill millions" with his man made earthquake; the danger does not lie in Zorin's monopoly, but in his plans to obtain it.That said, the Encyclopedia also ommitted any mention of Chrissie Hynde and the Prentenders and their two fabulous songs "If There Was A Man' and "Where Has Everybody Gone" for the Living Daylights....but he was sure to mention Phyllis Cornell, who was Tania Mallet's double in Goldfinger. It seems that if a James Bond Encyclopedia is to be written, it should be written by more than one person....and someone more objective.

We have, first of all, truth in advertising: Steven Jay Rubin's THE COMPLETE JAMES BOND MOVIE ENCYCLOPEDIA is exactly what it says it is, providing information on the series' actors, characters, locations and gadgets. It provides reviews of the first seventeen movies, and the history of the rift between Ian Fleming and Kevin McClory. There is a lot here. So much, in fact, that the book becomes wearisome. Mr. Rubin's entries about the various Bond searches are interesting, as are his reviews (and, no, I do not agree with half of them), but the quality of these are inferior to the same information presented in his much better THE JAMES BOND FILMS. In addition, Mr. Rubin has seen fit to include some trivia that may tickle the diehard fan but is fairly worthless otherwise.I was also annoyed by the GOLDENEYE updates. We get few stills from the movie, and the review doesn't provide much in the way of commentary.Still, if you are a diehard fan, or even a low key one, you'll find this book pleasing and often informative.

The James Bond Movie Encyclopedia is exactly what it says, a complete listing of many things that have been a part of the making of the the James Bond films from Dr. No to Goldneye, including the two versions of Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again. Packed full with a personal review of each film and a list of cast and credits. Many people who have been a part of the movies is included in the films. From Adams, Maud to Zorin, Max, the relentless information doesn't stop coming. You will learn about all the directors, producers, stars and everyone that is a part of the Bond Family. A very long read with everything in order, many fans will be amazed with the large length of this book. (one note: fans of Roger Moore, (like me) may not be pleased with the quite terrible reviews of 3 of his films.) Hey everyone has their own opinion. All in all a fantastic Bond book that every bond fan should own!

When I order this book I hope a very good Bond book with great pictures. But it was very disappointing. The all black and white pictures look old and some have bad quality. You may think that of course a picture form the movie Goldfinger must look old because it's a movie from the early sixties but, you know what I mean. I have seen pictures from Thunderball and other movies in full color and look spectacular but not in this book. And much of the info seems like "I don't care at all about this fact" Anyway, if you are a very big Bond fan, you should try this one, but if you don't, forget it immediately.
