This books covers the essentials of DB2 and is very well written. It enabled me to get up to speed with DB2 in a week, when I had a project that included DB2. Being a long term Oracle DBA, I had no difficulty finding what I needed in the book. I plan on re-reading it as soon as get my desktop in working Order.The only information that the book lacks is the information about the processes and the software architecture on Linux and Unix. That was the ground to give the book only 4 stars instead of 5.The book looks like it's written for an average Unix/Linux/Windows programmer, which I am not.The book enabled me to start investigating on my own and I am grateful to the author for the job well done.
Good starting point for getting up and running with DB2. Not an intensive SQL coding tome but it helps you learn how to get around using the tools that are available for developing and testing programs
I bought this second product from the bookstore, when I received it, it was as good as new.Will definitely buy from em again.Great stuff!
