Great discussions about the technical aspects of firing clay and glazes, your most efficient clay studio setup, photographing and marketing your pieces, handbuilding, wheel throwing, everything you need to be up and running. Would recommend this book to anyone desiring to install a home studio or a commercial production studio. It is a great reference and has found a place in my studio library.
The book is well organized and comprehensive. It has many useful suggestions and techniques that I have not found elsewhere. Vince wrote the book with the idea of it being used as a textbook for his classes. I have used it for guidance with a number of "out of the box" projects. This is the most thorough, enlightening and useful book on ceramics; I am thrilled after having a bunch in my library of others. This author deserves a prize, several prizes. If I could scream my satisfaction I would. Buy it and you will treasure it. I refer to it daily, truly.
This is a valuable book, which should be in every ceramics studio library. The information well presented and it includes more than I expected. It is more reasonably priced than on some other sites I have visited. I recommend this to a beginner and established potter alike.
